See You at the Pole 2013 was a great success! The official number of participants at the high school is 81, while the early number at the middle school was 68, but that's not the final official count. The leadership at the poles was outstanding and everything ran smoothly at both locations.
Jacob Hollis brought his guitar and he and Audrey Fitts and Selby Tucker led the group in some well-known praise songs. There's nothing cooler to me than hearing teenagers lift up Jesus Christ in song first thing in the morning!Kelbe Callaway and Makenzie Pierce led the students in prayer and Scripture reading as the students encircled the flagpole to pray. I think more than ever before, these students seemed comfortable standing in a united front against any scheme of the enemy.
After the large group met together, the students broke into smaller groups to pray individually and specifically about certain things/people. They ended the event by coming back together, linking arms around each other, swaying back and forth, and singing Light the Fire...
What an awesome experience!
